First, the rough surface roughness:


1. Molding surface is not smooth, rough state, mostly due to poor plasticity caused. As a countermeasure, it is not necessary to select a suitable molding machine, but it is also important to optimize the molding conditions such as the temperature and the type of the screw speed filter. In addition, the use of high temperature, fine mesh (filter) method can also improve the plasticizing efficiency.


2. In the thermoplastic elastomer, some grade itself contains a lot of moisture absorption components or fillers, so in the pre-drying it is necessary. When molding is performed without drying, foaming and surface roughening occur.


Second, scaling:


Fouling is a deposit that accumulates on the edge of the mouth when it is extruded. Some of the ingredients are from extruded materials, and some are derived from special additives. As a countermeasure, it is effective to improve the characteristics of the material by lowering the amount of the lubricant, since the lubricant itself is one of the factors contributing to fouling when an excessive amount of the lubricant is added. Teflon coated with the mouth of the method can also reduce the generation of fouling. In addition, should avoid the use of damp materials.


Third, the amount of instability:


1. Extrusion volume fluctuation is unstable phenomenon. The fluctuation of the melting point in the screw feed portion or the compression portion is the main cause of instability, and the size and period of the extrusion fluctuation are irregular. These phenomena can be considered due to the screw shape and extrusion conditions are not suitable for the material caused, so adjust the extrusion conditions and the replacement of the shape of the screw is very different.


2. In the extruder temperature fluctuations, the material flow instability in the extruder is also one of the reasons for this problem. In addition, in the feeding part of the screw and pellet slip will lead to the phenomenon of extrusion instability. While the pellets are preheated with a bucket dryer, they can be improved by increasing the temperature of the lower barrel of the hopper.


Fourth, the stripes:


The molded article of the extruded product sometimes has streaks or marks on the same portion. At this point need to check or confirm the mouth of the traces of injury and adhesion of the dirt, scaling and so on. Second, cleaning or eliminating unclean when changing materials is one of the causes of this problem. In addition, in the mouth-type rendezvous material melting is also easy to cause stripes.


5, deformation:


Extrusion of thermoplastic elastomers, usually extruded from the mouth, through the sink for cooling. In this case, if the molded article can not be uniformly cooled, it is likely to be deformed. Especially for the shape of complex, high dimensional accuracy of the required molding products, the use of cooling calibration or detection device is necessary. In addition, in the multi-layer extrusion process, due to the shrinkage of the composite material is also different from easily deformed.
